Yeni Bir Galaksi Keşfedildi - Kara Galaksi

 Kızılötesi Kozmik Büyüteç İle Çekilmiş Galaksi Fotoğrafı 

Hawaii deki Mauna Kea da 10 metrelik Keck-11 teleskopunu kullanarak tespit edilen galaksi  9.8 milyar ışık yılı uzakta. Galaksi kendine ait yıldızlar üretemiyecek kadar zayıf olması sebebiyle şimdilik kara galaksi olarak anılıyor. Oldukça büyük olan Samanyolu galaksisi etrafında bir çok uydu galaksi olduğu düşünülmekte bilim adamları cüce galaksi olarak andıkları bu kitlelerin 10.000 adet olduğunu var sayıyıor. Kara Galaksi bunlar arasında fark edilmiş ikinci uydu galaksidir ve şimdiye kadar bildiğimiz evrenin en uzak galaksisi olma özelliğini taşıyor.
