Venüs yörüngesi etrafında dönerken 105 yılda bir Güneşin önünden 6,5 saat süren bir geçiş yapıyor. Dünyadan çıplak gözle küçük siyah bir benek olarak görünen Venüs ,Nasa tarafından 36 bin kilometrelik uzaklıktan görüntülendi. Bir daha ki geçişini 2117 ve 2125 yıllarında gerçekleştirecek.
